Usage of school grounds only after 6pm at PUSD and Burton

For teams who are currently using school grounds (PUSD or Burton) for their team practice please be aware that no team practice can start before 6pm on those school grounds. Those are policies set in place by the school district to ensure that their school sports have access to their fields after school. Also be aware that if there is another organization who has reserved those fields with the school district for field usage after 6pm, they have the right to ask you to leave.

If you are needing to train any earlier than 6pm, you are more than welcome to use the City Of Porterville parks or sports complex as those are open all day for public use and are on a first come basis.

Erick Rincon who was just 5 years old when he started playing in the Porterville Soccer League has been called into a Mexican Youth National Team camp.

While playing for the PSL he was identified by our league administrators and was invited to train in our South Valley Chivas Academy training program. Since then Rincon has been a part of South Valley Chivas and has excelled within our club.

Please read about his call up to the Mexican Youth National Team on our South Valley Chivas Academy website at www.southvalleychivas.com.

Parents – Please be courteous and stay clear from goals and sidelines

Posted by Web Admin On September - 20 - 2019 Comments Off on Parents – Please be courteous and stay clear from goals and sidelines Subscribe here

Last week we had a number of complaints from parents about other parents standing around the goals and others not giving enough space/separation between them and the field sidelines.

We are asking of all parents cooperation to please be courteous and respectful to our youth players and to please stay clear from around goals and sidelines.

Please understand that yelling and instructing from behind a goal can be very disruptive in the decision making of our youth players. Also any spectators standing close to the sidelines pose a safety hazard to all our youth players.

Again just be curious and mindful while watching a game.

Thank you,

Rebranding of our logo to include our parent organization

Posted by Web Admin On May - 17 - 2019 Comments Off on Rebranding of our logo to include our parent organization Subscribe here

After many discussions and many debates, our board felt it was very important that our recreational soccer league logo represented who we truly are and the organization that allows us to offer a recreational league to the youth of Porterville and the surrounding communities. The inclusion of the South Valley Chivas logo into the Porterville Soccer League logo was very important for us because in our logo we wanted to represent the relationship and pipeline which exists between both organizations. In creating the Porterville Soccer League many years ago, it was the our intent that it serve as a feeder program into the South Valley Chivas and for many years now it has truly serviced its purpose. For many years now, players who have excelled in the Porterville Soccer League have continued on to represent the South Valley Chivas all around the state and in some cases they have represented us around the world.

Rest assured that for many more years to come both organizations will continue to function and offer the same services and we hope that our players from the Porterville Soccer Leauge continue to eventually end up representing our South Valley Chivas competitive club.
